How do I take care of my new tattoo?

Keep the bandage on for at least 4 hours, and then let it breathe overnight. The next day gently dab clean any excess ink with paper towel and water. Apply a very thin layer of either Weber’s vitamin E cream or any other non-scented, hypoallergenic lotion. For the first few days apply twice daily and then for the next week only once. When your tattoo heals it will begin to scab and may itch, do not scratch or pick at it. Showering is ok but it is advised to avoid having a bath or swimmingand being exposed to direct sun for the first 2-3 weeks. Be aware that your tattoo is healing and avoid any contact with anything that may irritate or infect it. It is also advised to wait 3 days to a week before working out, depending on your tattoo placement. If you have any questions during the healing of your tattoo you can contact us at the studio.
